Remfry Products
We have templates for the most common sized pads but can customise your protection to any shape or size you need. We are happy to add names, initials or numbers to the pad if requested. This is nothing fancy and simply handwritten written with a permanent marker.
All sizes stated below represent the longest length of the rigid protective foam underneath the towel and leather coverings. On the completed pads there will be some overhang of these materials which will make their overall length longer than specified.
The towelling on the back of the pads is available in red, royal blue or black. We can also accommodate custom requests, but this may need more time.
The leather, trim around the outside and strapping can be either white or black. Standard signature colours for white leather are red, blue or black. For the black leather we have white, blue, yellow, or orange available. We can also accommodate custom requests.

Thigh Guards

The thigh guard is an essential piece of protective equipment. Getting the right size guard is important for both comfort and protection.
We have three template sizes for our Remfry thigh guards that you can download, print (A3 printer/paper), cut and try for size:

Small Thigh - 36cm (14") - recommended if your height is less than 170cm (5' 7")

Medium Thigh - 41cm (16") - recommended if your height is 175cm (5'8") - 187cm (6' 2")

Large Thigh - 45cm (18") - recommended if you are taller than 187cm (6'2")​​
If you would like a more custom sized thigh pad, we can make it any shape or size you need. Some customers have asked for extra protection for the inside of the thigh and others with more protection for the buttock. 51cm is the largest custom thigh guard we have made for a 210cm tall (near 7') cricketer.
Inner Thigh Guards

Although the vast majority of professional and high level cricketers wouldn't bat without one, the inner thigh guard is often overlooked by the more casual cricketer. An inside or bottom edge, a swinging or cutting delivery or one that keeps low can easily give the back thigh a stinging blow.

Size requests have ranged from 22 - 31cm.
Some have also requested a wider inner, or a different shape all together.

Chest Guards

Your ribs are there to protect your heart and lungs, but there is not much protecting the ribs themselves from those fierce short-pitched deliveries. It is certainly a painful experience when the rib cage receives a cricket ball at full speed. Bruised or cracked ribs can cause long-term discomfort making batting, bowling, fielding, and for that matter many everyday activities very painful.

Chest - 22cm (8 1/2") This is diameter of the largest circle that sits over the rib cage.
If you would like a more customised chest pad we can make it any shape or size you need. The chest guard has the least variance of size requests from players. Most are either the standard size or very close to. ​

There's a fine line between the relative safety of the batting gloves and the exposed wrist and forearm when that nasty short ball rears up unexpectedly.
We have two template sizes for our traditional style Remfry arm guards that you can download, print, cut and try for size. Requests have ranged from 22-34cm.​
